I have such fun and fond memories of Arnie. I'll never forget his rendition of King Bobo. Arnie always made me smile. He was a wonderful man, and I am glad he was a part of my life. My sincere sympathy Rachel, Joyce, Tina, and Rodney. Sympathy to your families as well. I bet he was an awesome grandfather!

To Rachael, Tina, Joyce, Rod and Family,
My sympathy's to you all. I remember meeting Arnie in Norwood at the railroad station in the early 1960's. I was on my way home from work and had just arrived on the afternoon commuter train and struck up a conversation with him. From this we struck up a friendship that lasted to these days. One thing I remember is going to his new house in Lakeville and helping him prepare the ground for the planting of new grass. I also spent many days and hours with him at various railroad stations he was working at while working for the New Haven RR. I kept in touch with him over the years after that and was proud to be invited to his and Rachael's 50th wedding anniversary celebration. He 'was' a quiet and gentle funloving man, very active in his church who loved his Savior and is now in his Heavenly Home with his Savior where we will see each other again one day. Rest In Peace. . . Old Friend. Phil

We are praying for Arnold's family at their time of sorrow. Tina, Joyce and Rod. And the biggest sorrow is for Rachel as her partner for 60 years in wedded bliss , Arnold has moved on to be with the Lord and no longer is in any pain.

Rachael and family,
We are so sorry for your loss of Arnie. He was a special guy who loved his family, had a great personality but most of all, he loved the Lord and that was evident in his life! His smile could light up the room and his humor delight all of those in his presence. From the time we knew him as little kids till the last time we saw him, he never changed! We have been blessed to have known him! Our hearts mourn his loss but rejoice that he is with our Lord and we will meet again! May the Lord comfort you during this difficult time.
Our love and prayer to you all,
Scott and Cindy Campbell

I was very blessed to have met a man with a heart of Gold. He will be missed with those who knew him. Arnie always brought a smile to my face when I would see him walking into the door at work and had a small conversation from the previous patriots game to how each other Diabetes was making out. He also taught me a lot about the CDL laws on diabetes and other DOT stuff. He will be missed.

To the Family of Arnold Thorell,
I wish to offer my condolences to the family of Arnold Thorell. I had the great pleasure of working with Arnold back in the early 1980's at the Boyd Corporation. He was always a kind, friendly and gentle person. He became a good friend. I had lost track of him for several decades until recently reconnecting with him on FaceBook. The world has lost a wonderful individual but heaven has gained an angel. Rest in peace my friend!
