Joan Elizabeth (Chestnut) Bryant of Middleboro died on January 9, 2018 following a period of declining health.  She was 80.

She was born on October 9, 1937 in Middleboro, daughter of the late Leonard J. and Jean E. (Faietti) Chestnut and attended local schools.  Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Bryant worked as a hairdresser. In addition, she worked in retail sales both locally and in Hawaii.  She was a clerk at the Faietti Fashion Shop and the Christmas Shop in Wareham. 

Wife of the late Robert P. Mahoney and former wife of Roger C. Bryant.  Devoted mother of Michael P. and his wife, Heather Y. (Villasenor) Bryant and Kelly A. Dyer.  Sister of Robert L. Chestnut and his wife, Helen.  Also survived by special grandchildren, including Laura Gibson, Summer and Autumn Bryant, Tiah and Carson Dyer.  

Visitation on Saturday (January 13, 2018) beginning at 9 AM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM in Sacred Heart Church.  A reception will follow. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. 

Interment will be at a later date.
