William Harold Oliver

William H. Oliver of Middleboro died peacefully and with his family by his side on October 1, 2022.  Bill was 87.

He was born on April 7, 1935 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, son of the late William Franklin Oliver and Thelma L. (Tuell) Oliver.  A proud veteran, he served in the United States Navy both during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.  Bill was active with local veterans related organizations.  He was Past Commander of the John F. Glass VFW along with being an active member of the Simeon L Nickerson American Legion post, both of Middleborough. He was also a VFW delegate to the Middleborough Veterans Council. Bill treasured his years as a member of the Middleboro Veterans' Honor Guard, rendering honors for countless fellow veterans, many of whom he had never met. He was also the past President of the Middleborough Eagles. A retired printer, Bill worked for a variety of printing companies. 

Beloved father of Bruce W. Oliver of Plymouth, Kevin M. Oliver of West Wareham, Lisa M. Lake and her husband, Jim of Middleboro.  Loving brother of Charles Everett Oliver of Williamstown, West Virginia, Kathleen Brookover of Marietta, Ohio, Carolyn Brookover of Williamstown, West Virginia and the late Larry and Robert F. Oliver.   Grandfather of April Oliver, Bruce Oliver, II and Miky Javorsky. Also survived by great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson, many nieces, nephews and their families.   

Visiting hours on October 12, 2022 from 6 until 8 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street,  Middleboro. 

A Committal Service will be held on October 13, 2022 at 9:45 AM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.

Due to floral restrictions at the cemetery, please omit flowers.
