Steven M. Silvia was born on March 16, 1959 and passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 28, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline (Freeman) Silvia, his mother Florence Silvia (late father Antone Joseph Silvia) his sister, Donna (Silvia) Chapman and his brother, Tony Silvia. Father of Michael Silvia and Steven M. Silvia, Jr. Grandfather of six and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, including two he treated as his own, Kara and Jeffrey Chapman.
Steven worked as an assembler at Walmart for many years while also running his own stump grinding company ("Stumpy's") alongside his best friend, Kevin Stewart.
Steven was a veteran and an avid fisherman, who took any chance he could to be out on the Captain John fishing boat with his friends and family.
He did everything and anything for everyone he truly loved.
There will be a memorial graveside service on October 14, 2021 at 10 AM in Saint Joseph Cemetery, 475 East Britannia Street, Taunton. Please meet at the Cemetery Gate (second to the last entrance) on the East Britannia Street side). A Celebration of Life will follow at 12 Noon in the Raynham American Legion, 291 Mill Street, Raynham.
Anyone is welcome who loved and cherished Steven as much as his family did.
