Stephen William Parsons of Middleboro died peacefully in his home on August 19, 2024. He was 73.
He was born on November 27, 1950 in Norwood, son of the late Elmer Ernest and Jane Sarah (Ford) Parsons. A proud veteran, Steve served in the United States Navy and was Honorably Discharged.
Steve was an avid gamer. He started with Miniature Historical Wargaming and was one of the earliest Dungeons and Dragons players. He loved mentoring people of all ages into his hobby.
Steve and Judy had not been dating long when she discovered how in sync they were. Spotting a gaggle of ducklings on the side of the road that didn't seem to have a mother, Steve was turned around and heading back before Judy could say a word. The Mama duck stepped out of the brush just as they got back, so they were all okay. Steve rescued many turtles over the years.
He is survived by the love of his life, Judy Anne Hall of Middleboro, extended family members and many friends.
Visiting hours on September 14, 2024 (Saturday) from 11 a.m. until 1 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro. Military Honors will be rendered at 12:45 PM and will conclude the visitation.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
