Scott James Hoder of New Sharon, Maine passed away on September 17, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was 53.
Scott was the beloved son of Janet (Stracuzzi) Hoder and the late Francis J. Hoder. He grew up in Pembroke and attended Silver Lake High School in Kingston, where he excelled in sports, especially baseball and basketball. Scott resided in Halifax and on Cape Cod before moving to Maine. He loved the mountains and enjoyed finding beautiful new places to walk his dogs. He was a big animal lover and cherished his four dogs.
Scott enjoyed the many places he traveled throughout Maine while working for his company, Central and Beyond Property Services. He was a caregiver to his stepson, Kyle who has Cerebral Palsy and was devoted to his wife, Patricia assisting her while she awaits a kidney transplant. Scott was an organ donor who saved lives through his donations. He had the biggest heart and will be remembered for his sense of humor and devotion to his family.
In addition to his loving mother, Scott is survived by his wife, Patricia Gieselman, his stepson, Kyle Gieselman, his sister, Mary Beth Joyce and her husband, Michael, his nieces, Ryleigh and Ayla Joyce, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends may visit with Scott's family on November 11, 2023 (Saturday) from 2 until 4 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.
A prayer service will be held during the visitation at 3 PM.
