Samuel Robert Bradshaw of Brockton died peacefully in his home on November 14, 2025. Sam was 80.
He was born on June 24, 1945 in Brockton, son of the late Edwin R. and Eleanor F. (Morey) Bradshaw. A veteran, Sam served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War Era and was Honorably Discharged. Prior to his retirement, he worked a a independent truck driver.
His children lovingly remembered him this way: Dad was a grumpy tough guy on the outside to hide his lovable side. One of dad's saying was "if my memory holds true..." He always said hello to people. He went to Dunkin everyday to order his small hot 1 cream, 1 sugar coffee with a glazed stick. He was a collector of lots of stuff medals, collectibles, generators and other salvageable things. Dad also enjoyed watching Me TV shows to see the old cars he grew up with. Dad was a simple man--nothing fancy--what you saw is what you got. Dad would almost always pick up his phone when you called him. He was a resourceful guy.
Beloved father of Sam, Jr. and his wife, Sherry and their kids Hunter and Heavenly, Kevin his wife, Debra and their kids Joshua, Caleb and Nathan, Kelly (with whom Sam resided) Christine and her kids, Noah, Jacob, Grace and Benjamin and the late Richard (who passed in 2014). Brother of Sandra, Margaret, Grace, Bob, Gary, Chris and late Patricia and Lester. Also survived by nieces and nephews, their families and Leonard Pittsley, whom Sam considered a son and was a big help to him in the end.
