On Tuesday, February 16, 2021 Russell William Tetreault devoted husband, father and grandfather
passed away at the age of 76 surrounded by loved ones at his home in Middleborough, Massachusetts.
Russell was born on March 31, 1944 in Plymouth, Massachusetts to the late Elizabeth Tavares Tetreault
and Albert William Tetreault. He was a graduate of Plymouth High School class of 1962. He was married
to Marylou Oliveira Tetreault on July 24, 1965 and together they raised three children Michele, Suzanne
and Russell Richard. Through the years 1963 to 1970 he proudly served the United States Naval Reserve
as a flight crew Aviation Ordananceman based at Naval Air Station South Weymouth. He also
volunteered his time with the Boys Scouts of America in both Plymouth and Middleborough. Russell was
employed at General Dynamics in Quincy, Massachusetts for twenty-five years as a pipefitter and general
foreman. Additional employers include Derecktor Shipyards, Fiberspar Corp., ultimately retiring from
Concord Foods in Brockton, Massachusetts.
Russell most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, being outdoors keeping his yard,
chickens and honeybees. A lover of the summer, good weather and travel. His ingenuity for repair and
insight for home improvement will be missed. Russell is survived by his wife Marylou Tetreault. His
daughter Michele and her husband James Reynolds III and granddaughter Cecilia Reynolds of
Middleborough, Massachusetts. Daughter Suzanne and her husband Travers Charron of Middleborough,
Massachusetts. Son Russell Tetreault of Boston, Massachusetts. Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Richard
and Kristine Oliveira of Plymouth, Massachusetts. His nephew, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services on Saturday (March 6, 2021) at 11 AM in The First Baptist Church of North Middleboro, 111 Plymouth Street, corner of Bedford Street (Route 18). For those who may be unable to attend the service, you may view it live-stream by visiting the church website, www.fbcnm.org, beginning at 11 AM.
A reception will follow.
Friends may call to the church on Saturday (March 6, 2021) beginning at 10 AM.
Burial will be private and at a later date.
