Roger Herbert Lobban of Middleboro died peacefully on June 29, 2023 surrounded by his loving family following a period of declining health. He was 81.
He was born on July 15, 1941 in Boston, son of the late Herbert F. and Edna (Burdick) Lobban and was a graduate of Sharon High School. Prior to retirement, Roger lived in Sharon and devoted 31 years to Crescent Ridge Dairy. In addition, he served the Town of Sharon as a Call Firefighter from 1961 until 1999. After retirement in 2000 Roger moved to Middleboro where he enjoyed serving the Town as a volunteer in the Town Clerk's Office. Treasuring his family, he involved himself in his grandchildren’s activities, and attending various sporting events. Traveling often with his wife, Linda they created amazing memories from their vacations.
Simple pleasures defined Roger. He enjoyed his almost daily trips with friends to Cafe Milano as well as listening to his police and fire scanner. He savored a grilled cheese sandwich and a good ole mug of tomato juice. Roger was a member of the First Congregational Church of Sharon, the Bethesda Lodge #30 IOOF and Middleborough Friends, an organization that helps assist with scholarships and other town related needs.
