Richard E. Scrivens died suddenly on April 21, 2019. He was 69.
Rich was born on July 3, 1949 in Boston, son of the late Elwood L. and Doris A. (Stuart) Scrivens. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Rich proudly served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. Prior to his retirement he worked as an automobile mechanic.
Rich was the husband of the late Sharon M. (Simmons) Scrivens and father of the late Jason S. Scrivens. Life partner for 18 years of Carol Shabo DeFeo. Twin brother of Cynthia J. Breton and her husband, Daniel J. Breton. Father-in-law of Heidi Scrivens. Uncle of Timothy S. Breton and his wife, Katherine. In addition, Rich is survived by Carol's children, Debra and her husband, Steve, Dan and his wife, Kate and Carol's grandchildren, Anthony, Thomas and Victoria, Matthew, Callie and Ella, all of whom he loved as his own. Also survived by his devoted and loving German Shepherd, Chanel.
Funeral services will be held on June 6, 2019 at 11:30 AM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
