Raymond William Tubman

Raymond William Tubman of Middleboro died peacefully on October 12, 2023 following a period of declining health.  Chief was 77. 

He was born on November 4, 1945 in Middleboro, son of the late Raymond W. Tubman and Margaret Elizabeth (Vickery) Shaw. 

Chief attended local schools and was a graduate of Middleboro High School, Class of 1963.  A veteran, Chief served in the United States Navy (1963 until 1983) Peacetime and Active during the Vietnam War.  He was Honorably Discharged. Later, he attended Pensacola (Florida) Junior College where he earned an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement.  He served as a Corrections Officer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts prior to his retirement.  

Chief is survived by brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews as well as many friends. 

Military Honors will be rendered and funeral services will be held on October 27, 2023 (Friday) at 2 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro. 

A Celebration of Life will follow in the Middleboro Elks Lodge, 24 High Street, Middleboro.  

Friends may call to the funeral home on October 27, 2023 (Friday) from 1 until 2 PM.  

Interment will be private and at a later date in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
