Rachel L. (Dube) Kuketz of Avon died peacefully and surrounded by her family on May 30, 2023 following a long and difficult struggle with Alzheimer’s Dementia. Rachel was 85.
She was born on February 25, 1938 in Fall River, daughter of the late Raymond W. and Gladys C. (Gibbons) Dube. Rachel was a graduate of Avon High School, where she was the Head Cheerleader.
Rachel loved children. She taught kindergarten at The Gingerbread School in Brockton, later raising five of her own. She had a strong work ethic, working a variety of jobs throughout the years. Relocating to Arizona, Rachel worked as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Arizona prior to returning to Massachusetts. She worked at Krohn-Hite in Brockton and later United Liquors in West Bridgewater, from which Rachel retired.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. In addition, she enjoyed puzzles, dancing and dining out. Rachel especially enjoyed cooking for her family, whom she loved. That love was returned. Playing cards with her sisters and children brought her great joy. Spite and Malice was her favorite.
Loving mother of Joanne (Spagna) Kirk and husband the late George Kirk of Avon, Janet (Spagna) Gallagher of Colorado, Jackie (Spagna) Signori and husband Danny of Easton, the late Peter J Spagna, Jr of Florida, and Joseph Spagna and wife, Cindy of Raynham. Caring grandmother of 7 grandchildren. Tara (Gallagher) Wise and husband Dusty of Colorado, Kyle Ruta of Falmouth, Kurt Ruta and wife, Abbey of Mashpee, Joshua Spagna of Taunton, Danielle (Signori) Civilinski and husband Adam of Raynham, Cori Spagna of Ohio and Emily Spagna of Raynham. Adoring great-grandmother of 4 great grandchildren. Lander and Zane Wise of Colorado, Hunter Spagna of Taunton, and Peter Civilinski of Raynham. Sister to Judy (Dube) Briscoe of Avon, and the late Joan (Dube) Schraer, Barbara (Dube) Silvia, George Dube, Raymond Dube, Carol (Dube) Fahey, Noreen (Dube) DiMona.
