Paul Eugene Heinig, 69, of Middleboro passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2024. Born in Middleboro on March 30, 1955 to the late Evelyn and Julius Heinig, Paul graduated from Middleboro High School and earned a bachelor's degree from SMU (now known as UMass Dartmouth.)
While living for a short time in Oklahoma, Paul began working in construction which he continued on his return to Massachusetts, becoming a craftsman at drywall finishing.
Paul was known for his biting sense of humor and uncanny ability at imitations, particularly old movie stars. His family’s favorite memory is his rendition of Arnold Schwarzenegger singing a Beatles tune. But Paul’s real passion was music. Despite no formal training he mastered the guitar and keyboard with ease. Most recently he participated in the music ministry at his place of worship, “The Refuge.”
In spite of his sometimes grumpy demeanor, Paul had a big heart. He cared for his aging parents until their passing and for his chronically ill younger brother Michael who predeceased him in 2021.
He is survived by his siblings Mary Strout of Maine, Joseph Heinig of Ohio and Juliana Danam of California.
Friends are kindly invited to join his fellow congregants as they remember Paul: The Refuge, 175 South Main Street, Attleboro, MA on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 10:30 AM.
