Paul Gregory Hayes

Paul Gregory Hayes of Lakeville died peacefully in his home on January 28, 2022.  He was 89. 

He was born on July 3, 1932 in Portland, Maine, son of the late Karl W. and Elizabeth (O'Donnell) Hayes and was a graduate of Cheverus High School in Portland.  A veteran, he served in the United States Navy and was Honorably Discharged.  Prior to retirement, Paul worked as a buyer for food stores and US Bedford Textiles.  He was a devout Catholic, active in Saint Isidore Parish (Sacred Heart Church) and sang in the church choir.  

Paul was a true family man.  He loved his family and that love was returned.  His personality was special and he had a special relationship with each grandchild.   On their birthdays he would call and sing to them.  

Beloved husband of Deanna Hayes and the late Janet (Owen) Hayes.  Devoted father of Marybeth Richardson and her husband, Bruce of Middleboro, Maureen Ng and her husband David of Pembroke, the late Daniel Owen Hayes and Mark Paul Hayes.  Brother of the late James Hayes.  Also survived by 6 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.  

Relatives and friends may call on Monday (February 7, 2022) from 4 until 6 p.m. to the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (February 8, 2022) at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church.
