Norman Chisholm Obituary


Norman James Chisholm died peacefully with love surrounding him on April 14, 2021. He was 83.

He was born on August 15, 1937 in Middleboro, the son of the late Sydney James Chisholm and Lillian (Gerrior) Chisholm and he was a graduate of Middleboro High School Class of 1955.  Norm loved cars and spent his entire life working on them. He ran the Sinclair Gas Station in Everett Square for a number of years before moving to his garage Norm's Repair Shop. He took care of generations of families keeping their cars operating. He was well loved by his customers and known for all the kindness he showed them. He was known for helping all his customers but teenagers were always welcome and he would help them fix their cars so they could keep them on the road. He could always be found in his garage usually welcoming friends and customers. He loved to spend time in Florida for several months and camping at Bourne Scenic Park. He loved riding his bike especially along the Cape Cod Canal. He was a Red Sox and Patriot fan. He loved to read.

He leaves his beloved wife Jean Bernabeo Chisholm, being married 64 years. His sister Arlene Chisholm Dickens and her husband Don Dickens of Middleboro. Beloved  daughters Rebecca DeMarco and her husband Olimpio, Holly Chisholm Hargrave and her husband Brian. He was pre-deceased by his son Lawrence Norman Chisholm. He leaves his beloved grandchildren, Erica Nelson and her husband Mike, Jessica Delande and her husband Hadrien, Kyla Guidoboni Abrahams and her husband Danny, Holden Hargrave, Ava Hargrave and Hudson Hargrave, great 
grandchildren, Marlowe, Vienna, and Asher. Numerous cousins.  

Norm will be remembered for his special smile and caring heart for everyone he met. His family was truly blessed to have him. Norm held a special place in is heart for Andy Mortarelli that he worked beside for many years at the garage, he was a son to Norm.  

Funeral services will be private.
