Nancy Joyce (Clay) Poole of Middleboro died peacefully with her daughter at her side on March 14, 2023. She was 83.
She was born on January 31, 1940 in Lincoln, Maine, the daughter of the late Lawrence M. and Gertrude B. (Lawton) Clay.
Nancy was a resident of Worcester for many years prior to moving to the South Shore in 2019 to be closer to her daughter.
Beloved wife of the late David John Poole, a Veteran of the Korean War. Devoted mother of Diane Marie Widing Baillargeon, Christina Noel Williams, Michelle Gertrude Page and Lawrence John Poole. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Nancy loved to bake, sew and especially enjoyed the holidays. She loved taking family vacations to York and Boothbay Harbor, Maine as they were her favorite vacation spots. Nancy quit smoking 12 years ago and turned her habit to candy kisses.
No services will be held and her private interment will be held at a later date.
