Michael J. Ryan of Middleboro died peacefully, surrounded by his family on March 11, 2022 following a brief battle with cancer. He was 50.
He was born on June 4, 1971 in Newton, the son of the late William P. Ryan and Joan M. (Kelleher) Ryan-Wilson, and is survived by his stepfather Edward S. Wilson. Michael was a graduate of Minuteman High School in Lexington. An electrician, he devoted more than 30 years to Bizier Electric in Brighton.
Beloved husband of Dawn (Morrissey) Ryan. Loving father of Kelsi, William and Jake Ryan. Brother of Marguerite Reilly and her husband John, Stephen Ryan, Ed Wilson and his wife Barbara, Elaine Cowell and her husband Scott, and Tom Wilson and his wife Liz. Uncle to Jack, Gavin, Eddie, and Alannah Reilly, and Elloria Cowell.
If you knew Michael you can probably still hear his voice. It was strong, distinct and loud! You always knew when he was in the room. He greeted all with a genuine smile, a strong handshake, or an enthusiastic hug. Michael’s ability to tell jokes and stories, along with his talent of shouting out the lyrics to an endless number of songs will forever make those who knew him laugh and smile. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
