Michael E. Kosta, Jr.

Michael E. Kosta, Jr., 76, of Halifax, formerly of Somerville, died following a brief illness on 
Oct. 19, 2022. 
He was born on July 11, 1946 in Boston, where he was raised and educated. He enjoyed working 
for many years as a mechanic at Peter Fuller Cadillac on Commonwealth Ave in Boston and later 
at Forest Hills Cemetery. Michael and his brother Peter lived in Somerville for many years 
before he moved to Halifax, where he enjoyed living for several years. 
Beloved brother of Christine Walsh and her husband Michael of Middleboro, the late Vannie 
Irwin and the late Peter. Loving uncle of Kathleen Walsh and her husband Adam Freedman, 
Jennifer Starr, Matthew and Colleen Walsh and the late Timothy Walsh. Also survived by several 
grand nieces and nephews.  
Calling hours are Wednesday, (Oct. 26, 2022) from 4-6 p.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 
Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday (Oct. 27, 2022) at 10 a.m. in Sacred 
Heart Church.  
Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
