Michael Gerard Hegarty

Michael Gerard Hegarty, formerly of Middleboro, died on June 27, 2025.  He was 58. 

He was born on January 7, 1967 in Plymouth, son of the late Hugh J. and Winifred M. (O'Brien) Hegarty.  Michael attended local schools and was a graduate of Middleborough High School, Class of 1985.  For many years, he worked in the hospitality industry, serving in a variety of positions.  This suited his personality and afforded him to share one of his true talents, cooking.  Forever proud and connected to his Irish heritage, Michael was a humorous storyteller.  In addition, he enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader, loved golf and music, boating and the beach.  

Brother of Julie A. Leo and her husband, Rick of Middleboro and the late Erin E. Pasquale.  Also survived by three nephews whom he adored, Jack, Domenic and Nicholas.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his graveside service on July 30, 2025 (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. in the Cemetery at The Green, Plympton Street (Route 105) Middleboro.
