Michael Richard Campbell, 48, of Middleboro, MA - Son, Grandson, Brother, Nephew, Cousin, and a Friend to so many, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 18th, 2021.
Always funny and energetic, Mike had a way of touching everyone around him with his charismatic personality and willingness to help anyone who needed him. Without fail, Mike would often go to great lengths to try and help his friends & family, or would reach out to them with a call or message (usually when the person he was reaching out to needed it the most). Mike had an uncanny ability to give away all of the love he had to those around him, in moments that seemed to somehow be bigger than himself.
Mike is survived by his parents: John, Sr. & Maureen, of Middleboro; Three brothers and their families: John, Jr., his wife Katja, and their daughters Nina & Alyssa, of Attleboro, Matthew and his husband Ian of Lawrenceville, NJ, Christopher, his wife Amy, their daughter Emily and son Jackson, of Attleboro; 8 Uncles and 6 Aunts, including his Godparents, Michael & Donna Coakley, of Braintree; His girlfriend Kellie Mitchell; Many cousins; Additional family, and many, many friends.
Mike was a graduate of Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School, where he majored in Industrial Maintenance. He was employed as a mechanic at Carney Brothers Trucking in Raynham, MA for a number of years. He also was employed by Angel View Pet Cemetery in Middleboro, R&L Trucking in Avon, and Autozone's parts warehousing division. In recent years, Mike was a volunteer at South Bay Community Services Hospital in Plymouth, and helped his father John, Sr. with the family business.
An avid fan of music and bands like The Beatles and Metallica (among many others), Mike spent years following his passion of becoming a skilled guitar player on his Ibanez 6-string and Crate amplifier. Mike enjoyed the music industry both as a contributor and as a fan, often travelling with friends or family to attend both big shows and smaller ones at local venues, and had an appreciation for talented artists, always wanting to see them perform live if he could.
Mike was also a sports fan following his early playing days as a pitcher (baseball) and linebacker (football), taking in Red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots games with his father & brothers and also attending his brothers' football, baseball, hockey, or basketball games to show his support.
Through it all, Mike always found ways to pull family and everyone he knew closer together, he never forgot a birthday, never forgot a face, and was always there with a hug or a high-five if you wanted one. He was as unique & genuine as they come, and he will be missed by all who knew him tremendously.
