Michael Heinig, known affectionately to his friends as “Pick,” passed away on October 12, 2021.
Born to the late Evelyn and Julius Heinig on October 29, 1957, Mike was a life-long resident of
Middleboro. He graduated from Middleboro Memorial High School and the Wentworth Institute
in Boston.
Mike was a long-time employee at a local printing company where he met the love of his life,
Susan Morris. They were married in 1995. Before Sue’s death in 2015, they had worked
continuously on their home, making it welcome to everyone and had traveled extensively across
the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe.
Mike was a member of the Middleboro Elks, had played in a local softball league and was an
avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He is survived by his siblings Mary Strout, Joseph Heinig, Paul
Heinig and Juliana Danam, many nieces, nephews and cousins and many, many friends.
Mike will be remembered as a big man with an even bigger heart and a sense of humor that
would catch you unawares.
Special thanks are due to his brother Paul for his selfless care of Mike during his recent years of
declining health.
Per Mike’s request there will be no funeral service; just remember Mike in your heart.
