Mary Jane (Place) Rebell, joined her husband in heaven on Saturday, May 6, 2023 while surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born in Chandler, OK on April 30, 1949. She was the second oldest of 8 children born to Mary Jane (Lawson) and Herbert Place. Mary met her husband Paul, while he was stationed with her brother at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. They were married on January 3, 1968, and she relocated to MA with him. They were married 50 years before he passed in October 2018. Mary loved to crochet and knit and donated many baby blankets to local hospital nurseries. She also loved working with the elderly and worked as a CNA and an Activities Director for many years. She enjoyed watching old westerns, family feud and investigative discovery channel.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Shelley and her husband Charles Flynn of Glen Allen, VA. Her son Scott and his fiancé, Tracy Pedersen of Middleboro, MA and her son Stewart of Ware, MA. Mary had 11 grandchildren. Cody Rebell, Elizbeth Cravenho, Chris & Brian Garland, Angela & Andrew Rebell, Jacob Rebell, Billy, Jon, Bob & Mary Pedersen. She also had 7 great-grandchildren. Connor Garland, Payton & Nathanial Mann, Grayson Cravenho, Elinor, Benjamin and Nathanael Halin. She is also survived by three brothers. Ron, Rick & Dick and two sisters, Sharon and Carlene. She was predeceased by her sisters, Carol & Crystal. She is also survived by many brothers and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Friday, May 12, 2023 from 4 until 8 p.m. in the O’Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.
Funeral services on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 10 a.m. in the O’Neill Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Nemasket Hill Cemetery, 515 Plymouth Street, Middleboro.
