Mary Agnes (Andrews) Booker of Middleboro died peacefully on January 15, 2020 in her home. She was 96.
She was born on November 3, 1923 in Ansonia, Connecticut, daughter of the late Caesar C. and Margaret (Gomes) Andrews and was raised and educated in Middleboro. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Booker worked as a nurse at St. Luke's Hospital in Middleboro, a dietary aid at the VA Medical Center in Brockton and the Council on Aging in Middleboro, where she had previously volunteered. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii, where her son was stationed, Denmark and various tropical islands.
Devoted mother of James of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Gary of Middleboro, Mitzi of Taunton and Glen of Los Angeles, California. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and a few great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours on Friday (January 24, 2020) from 4-7 PM.
Funeral from the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro, Saturday (January 25, 2020) at 9 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church at 10 AM.
Cremation will follow and interment will be at a later date in Saint Mary Cemetery.
