Marie (Agostinelli) Edson

Marie (Agostinelli) Edson of Middleboro died peacefully surrounded by her family on February 
6, 2026.  She was 95 years old. 

She was born on April 27, 1930, in Framingham, the daughter of the late Nazareno and Adelina 
(Cursi) Agostinelli. She graduated from Framingham High School in 1948.  After a brief career 
with New England Telephone Company, she settled down in 1957 to start her family. 

She was the wife of the late Raymond Edson and is survived by her daughters Rae Edson of 
Middleboro, Julie Prescott and her husband Don of Lakeville; two grandsons Christopher 
Prescott and his wife Jenna of Lakeville and Michael Prescott and his fiancé Mary Pavadore of 
Stoughton, as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by 5 siblings, Dino 
Agostinelli, Arthur Cirioni, Barney Cirioni, Peter Cirioni and Christina Zarb. 

One of her greatest joys was her grandsons to whom she was affectionately known as Bruggie.  
As a member of the Middleboro congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses she loved sharing her faith 
in her creator and hope for the future with all she spoke to.  She will be deeply missed by all who 
knew her.  

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
