Madeline C. (Morin) Day of Middleboro died peacefully and surrounded by her husband and daughters on February 2, 2020. She was 84.
She was born on December 21, 1935 in Boston, daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Hough) Morin and was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Day worked at Chadwick's of Boston for many years while raising her family in Brockton. A homemaker, she was devoted to her family. Mrs. Day loved animals, especially cats, providing loving care, shelter and advocacy for years.
Devoted wife of Thomas M. Day. Loving mother of Denise McHugh of Taunton and her former husband, Ronald, Doreen Nielsen and her husband Rick of Taunton. Sister of Barbara Marchetti and the late Mary, Helen, Harold and Gladys. Grandmother of Sean McHugh, Christopher McHugh and Michael Vaudry. Also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours on Thursday (February 6, 2020) from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.
Funeral services on Friday (February 7, 2020) at 10 AM in the First Baptist Church, 111 Plymouth Street (corner of Bedford Street - Route 18) North Middleboro.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
