Kristopher Michael Westcoat

WESTCOAT, Kristopher Michael, 41, of Lakeville, MA, sadly left us on October 2, 2023. He was born on November 7, 1981 in Brockton, MA to Jeanne Westcoat and Michael Giberti.

Kris grew up in Lakeville where he attended Apponequet and Old Colony High School in Rochester, MA, later receiving his GED. He worked as a landscaper, and the last few years, he was working as a Machine Operator for Absolute Metal Finishing Inc. in Norwood, MA. He enjoyed all sports; Passionate about football, shouting at the Patriots, and especially basketball, forever rooting for the Celtics! Let’s not forget his prized Paul Pierce Jersey. He also enjoyed camping, and spending time with family and friends. When he was little, he liked taking walks with his grandmother “Ma” where they collected cans to pay for his impressive sports card collection.

His family loved him fiercely and will miss him tremendously.

He is survived by his daughter Isabella Rose Bowman of CT. His mother, Jeanne Westcoat of Fall River, MA, his father, Mike Giberti (Laura Lee) of Lakeville, MA, sister (or as Kris called her,“Sisi”) Paulina Giberti of Rochester, MA. Grandmother; Dorothy "Ma" Westcoat of Middleboro, MA, uncle; James “Jimmy” Medas of Middleboro, MA, aunts; Chrissy Mann (Mike) of Lakeville, MA, and Robin Lawless (Steve) of Attleboro, MA, and Gina Delsignore of SC. Also surviving are his step-mother; Mary Giberti of Rochester, MA, and step-brother; Anthony Leonard of Acushnet, MA, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in passing by his maternal grandfather Paul “Dumpy” Westcoat, who got his nickname from Kris. His uncles; Paul Westcoat, Jr. and Timothy Medas. His maternal great-grandparents; Anthony and Sophie Falconeiri. Paternal grandfather John “Jack” Giberti, and grandmother Jane Gomes.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday October 10th at 10:00am, in Sacred Heart Church of St. Isidore Parish, 340 Center St, Middleboro, MA. Visiting hours will be held on Monday October 9th from 4-7 pm at O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street, Middleboro, MA. Burial will be private.
