Joseph P. Bulu, Jr.

Joseph P. Bulu, Jr. of Middleboro died peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on November 5, 2022 following a period of declining health.  Joe was 61.  

He was born on January 20, 1961 in Brockton, son of the late Joseph P. and Mildred (Williams) Bulu and was raised in Duxbury.  Joe resided in Montana for many years where he worked in the oil fields. He spoke fondly of those years.  He relocated to Massachusetts where he and Diane started their family and treasured the memories they created.  Joe worked as a heavy equipment operator for more than 20 years.  These years included G. Lopes and Marsh Construction, where Lawrence C. Ray became significant in his life. 

Joe loved his family and that love was returned.  In addition, he enjoyed working around his home, appreciating the nature and animals that surrounded it. Joe enjoyed cooking and was a self-taught chef.  He also found enjoyment in anything Sci-Fi.  

Beloved husband of Diane (Lovell) Bulu.  Devoted father of Justin Joseph, his wife, Amanda C. and Olivia Rose all of Middleboro.  Joe is also survived by his siblings and Diane's family, including:  Robert and Susan Kinney and family, Rosemary and Mark Tonelli and family, Jean Lovell, Mike Curtin and family, Earle W. Lovell, Jr. and Fatima Lovell.  In addition, Joe is survived by many good friends, extended family and numerous pets.  

Visiting hours on Thursday (November 10, 2022) from 9 until 11 a.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.  Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. 

Interment Saint Mary Cemetery.
