John E. Bergeron of West Wareham died on July 12, 2021. He was 81.
He was born on August 22, 1939 in Providence, Rhode Island and was a graduate of Warwick Veterans High School. Prior to his retirement, John worked as a log truck driver in Maine. He later owned and operated Bergeron's Limo Van Service, later driving chartered buses. A veteran, he served in the United States Navy, serving overseas. Following his Honorable Discharge, John married the love of his life, Nancy Cornell.
John was a Catholic and his faith in God was very strong. He treasured his friendships, enjoyed playing Keno and listening to Willie Nelson, watching NASCAR and especially enjoyed gourmet food and fine beverages with family and friends.
John was a foster child. For this reason, he and Nancy dedicated countless years to foster parenting. Jeff Cutler was his son's best friend. John considered Jeff a second son and always spoke highly of him. Jeff referred to John as "Mr. B" and John referred to Jeff as "Bean".
Beloved husband of the late Nancy Ann (Cornell) Bergeron. Devoted father of John Philip Bergeron and his wife, Tylene Isabelle Bergeron of Skowhegan, Maine. Loving grandfather of Kimberly, Kelly and Christopher Bergeron. Also survived by great-grandchildren.
In accordance with Mr. Bergeron's wishes, no services will be held.
