Harloe "Mitch" Mitchem

Harloe C. "Mitch" Mitchem of Lakeville died peacefully on February 19, 2021.  He was 91.  

Mitch was born on August 13, 1929 in Riner, Virginia, the son of the late Parris E. and Mildred (Cooper) Mitchem, attending local schools.  A veteran, he served for twenty years in the United States Air Force, earning the rank of Master Sergeant and was Honorably Discharged.  Prior to his retirement, Mitch worked at the former Lakeville Hospital as a Radiology Technician.  

Beloved husband of Sheila R. (Dyer) and the late Kathryn A. (McGrath) Mitchem.  Devoted father of:  Michelle Giunta, Patricia Cooper, Greyson Mitchem, James Mitchem, Cheryl Gleason, James Pringle, Laurie Waddell.  Also survived by grandchildren: Lillian, Camille, Alexa, Cody, Nicole, Laura, Kristen, Amy, Joshua, Matthew, Jacob, Nathan, Amy, Jennifer & Christine.  And great-grandchildren: Jackson, Mason, Aubrey, Nathanial, Jaxon & Abigail.

Visiting hours on Friday (Feb. 26, 2021) 4-6 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro. 

Military Honors and interment on Saturday (Feb. 27, 2021) at 11 AM in Saint Mary Cemetery.
