Eleanor “Ellie” C. (Viera) DeAngelis, 77, of Middleboro, passed away July 12, 2021 peacefully at home with family by her side. Ellie was born to the late Alfred Viera and Eleanor (Walker) Viera, in Boston and raised in Wilmington Massachusetts. She attended Wilmington High School and went on to work for New England Medical and Quincy Mutual. Ellie and her husband Dominick had multiple business ventures together including Superskate Rollerway and ran one of the first video store’s, “Video Cove” in Quincy. Later in life, she enjoyed working as the office manager for the Middleboro Gazette.
In 2003, Ellie and Dominick moved to Oak Point. She was active in local politics where she enthusiastically supported the democratic committee. As a founding member of the nonprofit group, Middleboro Friends, she devoted time to making her community a better place.
She is survived by her loving husband Dominick DeAngelis of Middleboro, her devoted daughter Christine (DeAngelis) Kozloski and her husband Anthony Kozloski of Middleboro; four grandchildren, Courtney, Kiley, Cole, and Chloe Beth Kozloski of Middleboro; several brother-in laws, sister-in-laws and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services on Saturday (July 17, 2021) at 10 a.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.
Visiting hours Friday (July 16, 2021) from 5 until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Interment Saint Mary Cemetery.
