Eleanor M. (Clifford) Condon

Eleanor M. (Clifford) Condon, 83, of Middleboro, died July 12, 2021 after a period of failing health.

Eleanor was born in Brockton to Francis and Rita Clifford on June 4, 1938 and was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School. She resided in Brockton for 61 years before moving to Oak Point in Middleboro.

Ellie worked in the Brockton School system as a librarian and served as the President of the Massachusetts Teacher Association. She enjoyed ceramics, water aerobics, her knitting group, mahjong, the low vision group with COA and day trips with the travel club at Oak Point.

Ellie was predeceased by her husband “Bill” Condon in 2011. They married in Brockton in 1957 where they raised their seven children. Upon retirement they traveled extensively.  

Ellie was the treasured mother of William Jr and his wife Diane Condon, Linda, Michael and his husband Michael Carlson, James and his wife Holly, Susan and her husband Angelo Simao, Donna, and Stephen and his wife Marygrace. Ellie is also survived by her siblings Francis (Bud) Clifford, Brian Clifford and his wife Nancy, and Karen and her husband David DeDonato. She was predeceased by both Rita and Edward Clifford.  Ellie is also survived by her 15 grandchildren; Melissa, Elizabeth, Mark, Meaghan, Karen, Lisa, Christopher, Courtney, Lauren, Patrick, Garrett, Lark, Rebecca, Zachary and Alexander. She also has 6 beautiful great grandchildren; Jackson, Brooklyn, Camden, Aveline, Emily and Charlotte. Ellie is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many close friends from her Oak Point Community.

Calling hours are Thursday, 5-8PM in the O’Neill Funeral Home, 59 Pierce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, at 10AM in Sacred Heart Church.

Interment Saint Mary Cemetery.
