Dorothy M. (Sampson) Brown of Plymouth, a former longtime resident of Middleboro, died peacefully on September 25, 2022. She was 98.
Mrs. Brown was born on November 25, 1923 in Abington, daughter of the late Elbert and Amy Sampson, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Abington High School, Class of 1941. Mrs. Brown was a member of the South Middleboro United Methodist Church and the Women's Society. A homemaker, Mrs. Brown was devoted to her family. That devotion was returned.
Beloved wife of the late Robert T. Brown, they spent many happy years together raising their family and enjoyed their retirement traveling the country. Devoted mother of David, his wife Janet, Douglas, Peter, Richard, his wife Shari and the late Nancy Brown. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Brown, Kristen DeFrancisco, James Bruno, Jared Brown, Alan Brown and the late Eric Brown. Loving great-grandmother of Nicole Dwyer, Logan Bruno, Makenzie, Jessica and Ella Brown, Mikaela, Arianna and Keira Brown and her great-great-grandson Connor. Also survived and remembered dearly by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours on October 8, 2022 (Saturday) from 1 until 4 p.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boston’s Children Hospital.
