Donald Arsene Jarvis, 90 died peacefully at his home in Taunton MA on February 12, 2025; after a lengthy
illness. He was formerly a resident of Middleboro MA and Leesburg FL. He is survived by his loving wife of 67
years, Gwendolyn Jarvis, 3 cherished daughters; Judith Damon of Pocasset MA, Lorrie Jarvis of Taunton MA
and Cheryl Sisson of Live Oaks, FL; 3 adored grandchildren; Ashley Damon, Brandon Damon and Carol
Sisson; and 2 treasured great grandchildren; James Sisson and Jaxon Damon.
Don was born in Adams on July 18, 1934. He was the son of the late Arsene and Aurella Jarvis. He is also
survived by his brother Russell Jarvis and 3 sisters; Eleanor Schaffrick, Alice Szaldak and Joan
Courtemanche; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Bernard Jarvis
and sister Dorothy Meunier
He served in the army in the missile battalion in Texas and Germany. He worked as a quality control
representative for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. He was the proprietor of Tremont General Store in Wareham,
proprietor of Benson Cabins and Mobile Home Park in Middleboro; and proprietor of West Bridgewater Liquor
Store in West Bridgewater.
Don loved gardening, woodworking, traveling, trips to the casino, dinners out and spending time with family.
Visiting hours will be Monday, February 24, 2025 from 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. followed by a service at 4:30 in the
O’Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce St (corner of School Street) Middleboro.
