David Porter Obituary

David Glendon Porter of Middleboro died peacefully on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in Morton Hospital following his battle with Covid pneumonia. His wife Shirley Porter and two daughters Elizabeth (Porter) Corsini and Jennifer Porter were by his side. He was 60 years old.

Dave was born on July 9, 1961 in Brockton, son of the late Norman G. Porter and Dorothy M. Porter. He attended local schools and was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School. David worked as a runner at Reinhart Food Services (formerly AGAR) for the past 20 years.

Dave was a true family man. He loved his family and that love was returned. His personality and sense of humor was one of a kind, He was a true man's man. He took care of his family his entire life with his amazing work ethic and compassion for others. His relationships with his grandchildren were unmatched. Each of them had a special bond with him. He and Joshua enjoyed fishing together, Sophia would do art and drawing with him and Makenna just enjoyed play fighting with him and cuddling on a daily basis. David was an amazing artist and spent most of his free time painting if he wasn’t spending time with his family. He also was a true lover of all things nature or animal related and spent years raising rabbits to show at 4-H fairs all throughout Massachusetts. Dave loved bird watching and was always researching the types of different feathered friends that would eat at his feeders.

Beloved husband and soulmate to Shirley L. Porter of Middleboro.   Devoted father to Elizabeth S. (Porter) Corsini and her husband Christopher Corsini of Taunton and his youngest daughter Jennifer R. He is also survived by his sisters Kathy Randall of Duxbury, Jennifer Klein and her husband Robert Klein of Virginia, two brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.  David was pre-deceased by his sister, Pamela Porter.
