David Edwin Morris, 83, of Warwick, RI, formerly of Middleboro, MA died January 1, 2023. David was born to the late Curtis W. Morris and Goldie (Kincaid) Morris in Montgomery Township, Illinois. He attended school in Crawford County, Illinois and also attended Hampden DuBose Academy in Florida. After graduation he served in the United States Air Force. He worked at Anco/Boston, had a recordstore, Recordworks, with his wife Eleanor and worked for the United States Post Office for many years.
He was a loving husband to the late Eleanor (Rizzo) Morris, a wonderful father, a fantastic grandfather and a gentle, kind and loving man. He was a gifted craftsman, a lover of animals and an avid gardener and reader. When not engrossed in a good book he could be found outside working in their magnificent garden.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Andrea (Morris) Koerner and her husband Michael Koerner of Rhode Island; four grandchildren, Erin Greene and her husband Devin Greene, Carmina Maloney, Shawn Totten and Spencer Koerner of Rhode Island; his sister Mary (Morris) Koester of Arkansas, his brother Paul Morris of Illinois, his sister-in-law Virginia Dolan of Norwell, MA and his sister-in-law Irene Rizzo of Plainville, MA and many beloved friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services on March 4, 2023 (Saturday) at 10 a.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.
Interment will follow in Central Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
