Christopher Stetson Obituary

Christopher Ward Stetson of Middleboro passed away on January 10, 2022 at the age of 47 after a long and courageous battle with COPD.  His parents were at his side.

Chris was born on August 30, 1974 in Taunton and was a graduate of Bristol-Plymouth High School, Class of 1992.

He worked in his career as a professional mechanic working on large truck diesel engines at R&F Transportation and maintaining large industrial power generators for South Shore Generator.  Chris loved all outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing with his stepdad Bob Hollis. They would often fish in the sea on Bob’s boat.  Chris loved to tinker with all things mechanical. In his last couple of years he was rebuilding a Nova hot rod from the ground up.  Chris also loved to collect all forms of memorabilia, particularly automotive and mechanical items including antique cast iron toys.  As his mobility diminished, he took to Facebook and had many friends there. He would love to post anything for a laugh and took pride in getting thrown into “Facebook Jail” a couple of times for his online antics.

He is survived by his daughter Joy Marie Stetson, his parents Debbie Hollis and Ward Stetson, his stepmother Cindy Stetson, his sister Jacqueline Stetson, his stepsister Sarah Bertling and stepbrother Bobby Hollis, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, His beloved stepdad Bob Hollis went before him on April 12, 2005

An educational fund will be established for Joy Marie.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Bank 5, Johanna M Raymond, Account 902527996 or a donation to:  https://gofund.me/7f199a73
