Obituary

CHERYL ANN (HESKETH) WILLIAMS
“Willy”
December 28, 1949-May 5th, 2022

Cheryl Ann Hesketh Williams passed away peacefully on May 5th, 2022, after suffering a heart
attack early in the year. She was the wife of Nat Williams and resided in Middleboro, MA. She
was born in Pawtucket, R. I. on December 28, 1950, and the daughter of the late George and
Mabel Hesketh. She is survived by a brother, Donald C. Hesketh who resides in North Fort
Myers, FL as well as her husband, Nathaniel (Nat) several nieces and nephews and an abundance of close friends

Cheryl attended Bridgewater State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with History as
her major. After graduation, Cheryl was a substitute teacher at Attleboro High School during the
1980’s. She enjoyed waitressing at many of the fine restaurants in Middleboro including
Huckleberry’s Chicken House, Benjamins and in Seekonk. She met wonderful people throughout
Middleboro, and many are still her good friends. Cheryl fashioned a small Boutique on the
family property selling antiques, very fancy apparel and other unique items.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a memorial service on June 25th at 11 AM in the Christ Community
Church, North Campus, 265 West Britannia Street, Taunton. A light luncheon will be served after
the service.

"So, how did you meet Cheryl?" I was at a party with my fiance, Cheryl Number One.  Needless to say, I was not happily engaged!  After mingling with the crowd at the Christmas Party (with Dissaray blasting in the background) I found myself in the kitchen.  I opened my wine and grabbed a glass (a Tweety Glass) from the cupboard.  Then, I turned to my friend Dave and said: "Who is that sitting with Sue?"  He looked at me, smiled and said, "I don't know but I wish I did!"  And I became the happiest man on the planet when I went home with her phone number in my pocket.

In her death she gave the greatest gift of all.  She gave a new life.  She gave the life of family.  A family mired in dysfunction.  And now that family can become our family!
