Carle Holmes Anderson of Middleboro (formerly of Whitman) died on September 2, 2023. He was 88 years old.
He was born on April 12, 1935 in Quincy, son of the late Walter Emanuel and Virginia Louise (Holmes) Anderson, attending local schools.
Carle was a hard worker and was devoted to providing for his family. A machinist, he worked at the Boston Gear Works for over 35 years in addition to, working Part-Time in various food stores including Purity Supreme in Whitman.
Carle was a passionate Ducati motorcycle enthusiast. A skilled craftsman, he could build anything and did so with pride. He also enjoyed collectible trains and cars. Carle was an avid sports fan and loved watching all types of sports on tv.
Carle loved his family and that love was returned. His loss is immeasurable.
Devoted husband of Cynthia G. (Rudolph) Anderson. Loving father of Deborah Anderson-Arena and her husband, Thomas of Middleboro, Carle H. Anderson, Jr. of Florida, Michele Katarivas and her husband, Scott of Hanson and Edwin Anderson of Wrentham. Also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services on September 9, 2023 (Saturday) at 11 a.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.
Friends may call to the funeral home on Saturday morning, beginning at 10 o'clock.
Interment Saint Mary Cemetery.
