Carl L. Ameen, 86, of Middleboro, MA passed away unexpectedly on September 14th, 2021. Carl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Carl is predeceased by his wife Dianne, his wife Ida, and his ex-wife Ruthie. He is survived by his daughter Michelle (Ameen) Norman of Middleboro and her husband Maroon, Carl L. Ameen Jr of Pittsfield, Jeremy Ameen of Mansfield, Daniel Ameen of Weymouth and his wife Elizabeth, William Ameen of Brockton and his wife Barbara, and Michael Ameen of Florida, and his grandchildren, Jordan DaSilva, Isabella Ameen, Danielle (Ameen) Brown, Alexander Ameen, Stephanie Ameen, Gabrielle Ameen, and Kaitlin (Ameen) Somerville, and several great-grandchildren.
Carl was born in Boston to Anna Ameen. He graduated from Quincy Vocational Technical High School and served in the United States Air Force from 1955-1959 and was a Military Police Officer in the Korean War. After being honorably discharged from the service, he worked as a welder in the Quincy Shipyard. He later became a Deputy Sheriff for the Norfolk County Correctional Facility in Dedham, MA.
In his younger years, Carl was an avid bowler having pride in at least one ‘300’, a perfect game, from which he kept one of the pins. Carl, a true sports fanatic, never missed a Boston Red Sox or Patriots game. His lifelong sports dream came true in 2004 when the Red Sox finally won a World Series. As a fan of Frank Sinatra, Carl lived by the motto, ‘I did it my way’. He will be missed by many.
At Carl’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
