Carl was born in Boston to Anna Ameen. After being honorably discharged from the service, he worked as a welder in the Quincy Shipyard. He later became a Deputy Sheriff for the Norfolk County Correctional Facility in Dedham, MA.

In his younger years, Carl was an avid bowler having pride in at least one ‘300’, a perfect game, from which he kept one of the pins. Carl, a true sports fanatic, never missed a Boston Red Sox or Patriots game. His lifelong sports dream came true in 2004 when the Red Sox finally won a World Series. As a fan of Frank Sinatra, Carl lived by the motto, ‘I did it my way’. He will be missed by many.
