Brenda A. (Brooks) Arruda

Brenda A. (Brooks) Arruda passed away suddenly on April 1, 2022 at 53 years young. 

She was born on January 21, 1969 in Middleboro, daughter of the late Alvan D. and Mary Lou (Linton) Brooks.  The youngest of their six children, Brenda was raised in East Bridgewater.  She graduated with the Class of 1995 from the Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, a member of their adult licensed practical nursing program. 

A dedicated nurse for 26 years, Brenda devoted 19 years to the Hannah B. G. Shaw Home in Middleboro. A mother first and nurse second, she loved her patients and that love was returned. She was an incredible mother, grandmother, aunt, colleague, nurse and friend. 

Devoted mother of Adam Pontes of Franklin, Ashley Arruda and Megan Arruda both of Lincoln, Rhode Island. Cherished grandmother of Sophia Pontes. Loving sister of Christine Brooks and Kenneth Brooks both of East Bridgewater, Cynthia Barthel of Raynham, Thomas Brooks of Spring Hill, Florida and Bonnie Francis of Brockton.

Brenda will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends may call on April 13, 2022 (Wednesday) from 9 AM until 12 Noon to the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.

Interment will be private.
