Beverly Farley, age 92, passed away peacefully at home October 10, 2021, after a period of failing health. Born July 20, 1929, in New Bedford to the late Peter and Anne V. (Curley) Farley, Bev moved to Middleboro in 1938 and graduated Middleboro High School in 1947. After high school she went to work as a pediatric licensed practical nurse at Lakeville Hospital, where she was very popular with the patients, working for the hospital for 34 years. Proud of her Irish roots, Bev’s favorite color was green. Quick witted, she not only enjoyed a good joke but oftentimes responded with a comeback for the tag line. One of Bev’s greatest joys in life was her monthly shopping trips to Boston which she would top off by making a stop to treat herself to an extravagant meal. Bev is survived by her twin sister, Bernice R. (Farley) Conway, of Northboro, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Peter T. Farley, and sister Kathleen M. (Farley) Stanley. The family would like to extend its thanks to Nancy Farrell for her years of dedicated service to and care of Bev, which allowed her to remain in her home. Since her life’s passion was caring for children, donations may be made in Bev’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
