Barry N. Schuster, Sr.

Barry N. Schuster, Sr. of Middleboro died on June 18, 2021.  He was 66.  

He was born on August 18, 1954 in Wareham, son of the late George A. and Irene A. (White) Schuster, attending local schools. Prior to retirement, Barry devoted almost 40 years to the Alden Shoe Company.   Following his retirement as a foreman he continued with Alden as a consultant. 

Barry was a Scoutmaster of the Boy Scouts Troop 64, sponsored by the Simeon L. Nickerson American Legion Post 64.  Later, he became an Assistant Scoutmaster in order to care and assist with the recovery of his wife.  He devoted years to the Boy Scouts, enriching the lives of many young boys, including his two sons, assisting them in their achieving the rank of Eagle Scout (their highest rank).  His service and dedication continued following the death of his youngest son, Jason. 

Barry was the family historian.  He videotaped and photographed EVERY family event.  He loved to garden, cook and will be remembered especially for his steak tips.  

Devoted husband of Deborah J. (Thomas).  Loving father of Barry N. Schuster, Jr. and his wife, Rachel and the late Jason Schuster.  Adored grandfather of Joshua Correa.  Cherished brother of Gerald F. and his wife, Linda H. Schuster, Leslie R. and his wife, Linda A. Schuster, the late George A., Jr. and David Schuster.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. 

Visiting hours on Monday (June 21, 2021) from 5 until 8 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
