Andrew Corsini Obituary

Andrew Cameron Corsini of Lakeville, MA passed away peacefully on August 27, 2020 surrounded by his family.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne (Grenier) Corsini; son Andrew C. Corsini, Jr; his parents Leon H. Corsini & Margaret (Cameron) Corsini as well as his brother Leon H. Corsini, Jr & sister Nancy (Corsini) Moquin. Andrew was born July 29, 1935 in Middleboro, MA the youngest of 3 children.  His mother named him after St Andrew Corsini, his patron saint.  He attended Middleboro grade schools through the 8th grade.  He graduated from the Monsignor James Coyle Memorial High School for Boys (closed as Coyle & Cassidy High School) in Taunton in 1953, and from Providence College in Rhode Island in 1957, with a degree in accounting.  He paid for his education by working hard at many jobs, such as a milk delivery man, gas station attendant, working in  cranberry bogs, and helping to deliver gravestones.

Andrew completed Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI, in the 34th graduating class, as a Lieutenant, junior grade   Upon graduation, Andrew married the love of his life, Yvonne, on November 3, 1957, after dating for 12 years.  After a honeymoon in Niagara Falls, the couple moved to Japan where Andrew was stationed in the Navy.  Two of their 5 children were born there. In 1961, the family moved back to Middleboro, MA.  Andrew obtained his Certified Public Accountant Certificate, which was still active upon his passing.  We think he was the oldest licensed CPA in Massachusetts, a feat he was quite proud of.  Andrew worked at Lyman, Ross Brothers and Montgomery in Boston, MA, commuting daily.  At the time, it was one of the 8 top CPA firms in the country.

Andrew moved on to Swank, Inc. (Attleboro, MA) in 1967 as the Treasurer and CFO of the firm.  Shortly afterwards he and his family moved to Cumberland, RI where they remained residents until 1997, when Andrew retired and he with Yvonne moved to their summer home in Lakeville, MA, calling the much beloved cottage their year round home.

Andrew was quite the philanthropist, supporting Catholic Charities, and supporting his strong alumni ties to Providence College & Coyle Cassidy.  At PC he was known as a "Golden Friar" due to his active alumni presence.
Catholic faith was especially important to Andrew.  He attended Mass several times a week, daily when he could.  During the COVID pandemic, he would participate in mass on TV and YouTube.  He could be seen daily in his sunroom, rosary beads and prayer booklets in hand, as he prayed for his family and friends.

Andrew enjoyed spending time with his large family, and his many friends, traveling, boating, fishing, and New England Sports. He delighted all with his funny stories and his hearty laugh. Andrew is survived by his 4 children and his late son's wife:  Lynn Corsini & Bill Volpe of Melrose, MA; Missy (Corsini) Watson and her husband Rusty of Damascus AR; Bryan & Heather (Jepsen) Corsini of Potomac, MD; David Corsini of North Attleboro, MA; and Stephen  and Liz (Paysinger) Corsini of Newberry, SC. Corsini of Frederick, MD; Alyssa Corsini-Shaw and her children Carter & Ava (Barrett) of Ellington, CT; Ryan & Amanda Corsini and their daughter Hannah  of Middleburg FL;  Rachel (Corsini) & Bobby Sequrola and their children Luciano (Nardi) & Giorgia of Miami, FL;  Kyle & Gigi Corsini of Bethesda, MD; Andrew (III) & Janna Corsini and their children Andrew Cameron IV & Penelope Yvonne of Bentonville, AR; Gabriel & Allyson Corsini of Portsmouth, VA; Lucien Corsini of Newberry, SC; Alaina Corsini of Greenville, NC; John Corsini of North Attleboro, MA; and Colin Corsini of Potomac, MD.
