Alayne Thomason, age 82 years of Middleboro died Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Life Care Center of Raynham after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of 37 years to the late Stanley Jurgelewicz .
Alayne was born in Weymouth MA., to the late Mary A. (Collins) Bennett and late Ernest E. Bennett both of Braintree MA. She was raised in Middleboro, and was a graduate of Middleboro High School. She was a factory worker as well as a housekeeper at a Nursing Home in Plymouth. She attended Sacred Heart Church.
Alayne was the loving and caring Aunt for her nieces Virginia (Ginny) Bennett Caetano of Christmas, Florida, Jamie Bennett of Brockton, MA. and Michelle Bennett of Taunton, MA. She enjoyed family gatherings with her Collins and Bennett cousins. She loved time with her family and friends, and the laughter and joy they brought her. In later years
she loved to read and enjoyed her time with her cat “Bitsie”.
She was the sister and twin of the late Alan Bennett and his wife the late Diane Roberts Bennett Scott. She is survived by her brother Ronald Bennett of the Philippines, her stepsons Shane Jurgelewicz of Middleboro and Stephen Jurgelewicz of Maine. Alayne was the Step Mother of the late Scott Jurgelewicz of Middleboro, and the late Stacy
(Jurgelewicz) Kagawa and her husband Captain Takashi Kagawa (JAG Officer). She leaves behind several cousins and great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on February 24, 2023 (Friday) from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro. A concluding prayer will begin at 12:15 p.m.
Interment will be private and in Saint Mary Cemetery.
