Paula M. "Penny" (Goodnow) Ricker of Middleboro died on July 12, 2019 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 66.
She was born on August 15, 1952 in Middleboro, daughter of the late Henry E. and Mary E. (Vaughan) Goodnow and attended local schools. Penny was a graduate of Middleboro High School, where she was the Majorette in the Drum and Bugle Corps. Prior to her retirement, she devoted over 25 years to bookkeeping in the sand and gravel business. She especially treasured her years at Carney Brothers Trucking in Raynham. Penny loved fast cars. She found peace and empowerment in her V8 Toys: multiple Camaros,Titans, Mustang and treasured 6.6L TransAm.
Beloved wife of the late Robert H. Ricker. Devoted mother of Kevin S. Levesque of Wareham, Wendy L. Ortenzi and her husband, Jeff of Halifax and Troy A. Levesque of East Taunton. Adored companion of George E. Taber for 12 years. Loving sister of Louise "Weza" Goodnow-Albert of Carver, the late Lorraine S. Stoddard and Henry E. "Skip" Goodnow, Jr. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren (all of whom referred to her lovingly as Gam, Mamoo and Gramma) nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours on Wednesday (July 17, 2019) from 5 - 8 PM.
Funeral services on Thursday (July 18, 2019) at 11 AM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.
Burial will follow in Nemasket Hill Cemetery.
