Marcel L. Fortin of Middleboro died peacefully on March 13, 2019. "Musty" was 91.
He was born on October 7, 1927 in Saint Onesime, Quebec, Canada, the son of the late J. Gideon and Marie Bernadette (Beaulieu) Fortin. He was raised in Middleboro, where he attended local schools. Marcel worked for 20 years at several area shoe factories and later devoted 30 years to Lakeville Hospital, where he worked in the housekeeping department. He was a charter member of the Mitchell Memorial Club for 70 years. In addition, he was a communicant of Sacred Heart Parish.
Beloved brother of Odet Rudolph and Ann S. Chilcot both of Middleboro, Theresa Rogers of Wareham, the late Marine R. Gabrey, Raymond, Herve and Aime Fortin. Also survived by nieces, nephews and their extended families.
There are no visiting hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on March 23, 2019 at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre Street, Middleborough.
Interment Saint Mary Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
