My sincere condolences to all the Hurley family on the passing of John. I did not have the opportunity to have shared a lot of space and time with John during the short period that I have known his family but what I have seen and heard speaks so well of a man of good character, unpretentious demeanor, and commitment to family. My dad was also a Navy veteran during the war and the experience was always difficult and often very dangerous but it produced the kind of memories that, I'm sure, fortified them both. I do so much appreciate what John has left behind, my special granddaughter, Alex, who literally lights up my life each day and my daughter-in-law, Ashley, who shares so much of my life now. These kinds of people don't just happen - it literally takes generations to achieve. May God bless you John as you journey on to sleep with your wife and your comrades in arms. Requiescat in Pace.

To all the Hurley Family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time of sorrow. Your dad Mr. Hurley as I would call him. Was a kind and gental man. An all around great guy. I am sure there are many grieving today. And I am sure of one thing for certain that can help with the sadness is that he is smiling and at peace in the arms of the love of his life. Alice (Mrs. Hurley). And Surrounded by his loved ones that have also gone on before him. Mr. Hurley may you be resting easy. God bless the Hurley Family.
With love Tracy Ahearn Williams.
