Robey Michael Covel of Carver died on September 15, 2016 following a lengthy struggle with addiction.  He was 41. 

He was born on January 15, 1975 in Yonkers, New York and raised in Middleboro.  Robey was a graduate of Middleboro High School, Class of 1993 where he excelled academically and athletically.  He was a graduate of Bridgewater State College, Class of 1999 where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Physiology.  Robey proudly served our country, enlisting in the United States Army in 2006 and was honorably discharged. 

Prior to his illness, Robey worked as a salesman for L. Knife & Son for several years.  In addition, he worked at Emerson College and health clubs as a personal trainer. Robey adored his family, especially his younger brother, Brandon. 

Beloved son of Frances M. (Covel) Osgood and her husband, David A. Osgood of Carver.  Cherished brother of Brandon D. Osgood of Carver.  Adored grandson of Esther D. Covel.  Also survived by numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Robey's visitation on Wednesday (September 21, 2016) from 4-7 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. 

In accordance with Robey's wishes, burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal shelter. 

Robey's family would like to extend their gratitude for the support and love they have received during Robey's progressive illness.
