Matilda M. (Meehan) Shabo of North Easton died peacefully on September 9, 2016 following a period of declining health. She was 94.

She was born on December 15, 1921 in St. Mary's, New Foundland and Labrador, Canada, daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret (Dobbin) Meehan, one of their 11 children. A homemaker, Mrs. Shabo was the wife of the late Joseph Shabo. Devoted to her family, especially her daughter and grandchildren she was pre-deceased by all her siblings.

Adored mother of Carol Shabo DeFeo of North Easton and her partner, Richard Scrivens, Matilda's devoted caretaker. Cherished grandmother of Debra DeFeo-Gelman and her husband, Steven Gelman of South Easton, Daniel DeFeo and his wife, Kate (Pelton) of Norton. Loving great-grandmother of Anthony,Thomas and Victoria DeFeo-Gelman, Matthew, Callista and Ella DeFeo. Devoted sister of the late Patrick, Bernard, Michael, Dennis, Thomas, Valentine, Carmel Synard, Mary Bridget Ryan, Catherine Squires and Deborah Meehan.

Funeral services will be private.
