Jean Carol Archer of Middleboro died peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on February 19, 2017.  She was 74.

She was born on August 17, 1942 in Raynham, daughter of the late Robert S. and Lillian (Jackson) Archer.  Jean attended Raynham and Taunton schools and later Bristol Community College.  Prior to her retirement she worked as an office manager in the construction industry. Beyond her immense love for her family, Jean was also passionate about horses and long distance bicycling.  She had horses for much of her life and enjoyed several trips to Schively Ranch in MT with her sister and cousin, to fully participate in all ranch activities including herding cattle.  Jean also sang in the Southeast MA Festival Chorus for a number of years.

Cherished wife of Kenneth C. Martin.  Adored mother of David S. Reed, Lori J. Noel and Matthew G. Buffinton.  Loving sister of Jacki Crowley, Robert Archer and the late Kenneth Archer.  Jean is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be private.
